This book is a result of a seven year project that involved the countries of Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Canada in assessing climate change, climate change vulnerability, and adaptive capacity. The book as an interdisciplinary book that employed a unique methodology for integrating the findings of the interdisciplinary (natural and social science team). A comparative conclusion chapter and a chapter exploring the interdisciplinary experience (for the purposes of providing future recommendations to interdisciplinary teams and funders) concludes the book. The book fills a gap in academic literature in relation both to case studies relating to South America in English, comparative north and south case studies, and interdisciplinary vulnerability assessment.
