Resumen:
The study of homeologies among close phylogenetic taxa, allows to understand the evolutionary process in Neotropical Primates. Their karyotype, presents a great variability in the heterochromatic regions (He) not only regarding its amount vut also its quality. G and C banding techniques and FISH provide useful information to characterize interspecific relationships. in addition, the synthesis of FISH probes by chromosome microdissection enable to produce probes for specific areas of selected chromosomes (arms, fragments or even chromosome bands). we present here, the results of the microdissection and FISH probe production of the chromosome 11 segment (11qHe+) from C.a.paraguayanus (CAPp) in order to confirm the possible homeologies among Ceboidea species. Nine fragments of the 11qHe+ microdissected from fibroblast were collected in a PCR tube and amplified by DOP-PCR reaction and subsequently labelled with Spectrum Red by a PCR reaction. The 11qHe+ prbe was checked for specificity in male and female metaphases of CAPp obtained from peripheral blood culture. Signals were located in the He+ of chromosomes #4, #11, #12 and #13. First PCR products were clones and 6 micro clones are about to be sequenced. When C.a.nigritus (CAPn) was analyzed with the same probe, we found the conservation of CAPp heterochromatin in all the heterochromatic regions except for the chromosome 11. We found no signals when analyzed other Ceboidea with the 11qHe+ probe. We confirmed the extracentromeric heterochromatin identity of CAP in its topology as well as in its structural homeology. By means of this new methodology we added valuable data to the knowledge of the complex speciogenic processes with the heterochromatic variability as a controversial but possible rol in the evolution of these primates.
