Resumen:
Field mapping combined with structural, magnetic fabric and radiometric age data reflect that a part of the Neoproterozoic-Lower Paleozoic Tastil batholith (Salta, NW Argentina) corresponds with a Cenozoic monzodiorite pluton, named Las Burras monzodiorite. The intrusion age of the Las Burras pluton was constrained by U-Pb zircon analyses, yielding an age of 14.4 +/- 0.3 Ma. The trajectories of the planar structures (magmatic layering, magmatic foliation and magnetic foliation) outline a concentric pattern which corresponds with an elongate dome. The emplacement of the Las Burras pluton was linked to the motion of the Calama-Olacapato-Toro lineament, a sinistral shear zone marking the shallow expression of the lithospheric bending related to a dip change of the subduction angle of the Nazca Plate.
