Resumen:
The antimicrobial activity of Berberis heterophylla leaves, stems and root aqueous extracts
was studied in vitro on Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and fungi. The in vitro
antifungal activity of berberine isolated from the same source against different Candida
species was also investigated.
