Resumen:
Vernonia lithospermifolia Hieron. and V. oxylepis Sch.Bip. are reported for the first time for Argentina. The first chromosome count for V. lithospermifolia (2n=20) is also notified. Besides, additional specimens of V. centauropsidea Hieron., a species known only for the type material, are informed here. The three species are illustrated.
