Resumen:
The paper isfocused on elaboration of ZrO2 films on pure zirconium via anodizingin phosphoric acid with and without fluoride at constant potentials of 30 V and60 V. The structure and composition of films were investigated using scanningelectronic microscopy, Raman spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The composition of the oxides formed at both potentials can be identified asmonoclinic ZrO2. In addition to Zr and O, layers formed inphosphoric acid contain phosphorus originating from phosphoric acid. Whenphosphoric acid solution contains NaF, fluorine is also incorporated in theoxide layer. The oxides formed at higher voltage have larger roughness than theones formed at 30 V. Anodized samples exhibit smaller current densities duringanodic polarization compared to the as received zirconium covered with native oxide.
