Resumen:
The influence of thhBarea and cyanothio~tcctamide on the anodic properties of copper has been investigated by J~fiectance infrareds~ctroscopy, cyclic voltammetry and rotating disk electrode techniques. It is ~hown that thiourea acts as a ligand for Cu dissolution inaqueous borax whel~zas cyanothioacetamide reacts with Cu(l) to Ibrm an insoluble film at the electrode surface. The main IR peaksobserved can be ascribed to the ibrmation of copper complexes and it is shown that IR spectroscopy is a useful t~ml for thecharacterisation of metal dissolution products when ligands ate present in the solution.
