Resumen:
The aim of this work is to study the applicability of high-pressure liquid solvents (carbon dioxide, propane and their mixtures) in the extraction of waxes from whole sunflower seeds. The propane + carbon dioxide mixtures where designed to have complete wax miscibility and non-flammable vapor phase. The obtained products were characterized by GC.
