Resumen:
Mechanochemicalprocessesinvolvingreactionsbetweenmetalsandcrystallineoxidesareofinterest becauseoftheirpotentialtechnologicalapplicationsinstructural,magneticorelectricmaterials.In additiontheycancontributetotheunderstandingofthenaturaloccurringprocessesthatleadtothe formationofmineralsandsoils.Thecontrolledstudiesofhowthedistributionofcationsinthe titanomagnetitestakesplacecanhelptowardbuildingamodelforthenatureoftheirmagnetismand, since theyaretheprimarycarriersofrockandsoilmagnetism,arethereforeintensivelyinvestigatedin manyexperimentalandtheoreticalstudies. In behalfofabettercomprehensionofthethermal,physical–chemical,magneticandhyperfine behavior,wehaveconsideredatitaniumandhematitemixture,withmolarratioTi:Fe2O3 of 1:2, mechanochemicallyactivatedduringdifferentactivationtimes.Wehavestudiedthedevelopmentof new phasesbyX-raydiffraction,scanningelectronmicroscopyandMo¨ ssbauer spectroscopy.The evolution fromthestartingmaterialsaffectedbydifferentmillingtimesandsubsequentannealing shows thatTireducestheFeionsintheFe2O3 lattice,partlytoFe2+ and partlytometallicFe. 2O3 of 1:2, mechanochemicallyactivatedduringdifferentactivationtimes.Wehavestudiedthedevelopmentof new phasesbyX-raydiffraction,scanningelectronmicroscopyandMo¨ ssbauer spectroscopy.The evolution fromthestartingmaterialsaffectedbydifferentmillingtimesandsubsequentannealing shows thatTireducestheFeionsintheFe2O3 lattice,partlytoFe2+ and partlytometallicFe.
