Resumen:
A two-dimensional, unsteady CFD single particlemodel was developed and used to simulate the solar pyrolysis process of beechwood pellets. Stoichiometric coefficients applied in the model (the massfraction of primary tar converted by the reaction to gas and secondary tar)were determined at different temperatures and heating rates for the first time.The 2D model predictions are in good agreement with the experimental results,which emphasizes the intra-particle tar secondary reaction into gas forbig-sized sample pyrolysis under high temperature and high heating rate.
