Resumen:
Intimate partner violence (IPV) risk assessment helps identify those cases most at risk based on the presence of perpetrator risk factors and victim vulnerability factors. Risk management has to be tailored according to the risks present and resources available. While research has been done in North America there is a need for cross cultural research. Structured professional judgment instruments need to be investigated in different settings and in different countries. The goals of the present symposium are (a) to present results regarding the use SARA in Spanish samples; (b) to display the results obtained using IPV risk assessment tools designed in Spain, such as EPV-R and RVD-BCN; and (c) to analyze the IPV risk management by police in Spain.
