Resumen:
The work of Jacques Derrida has found in Jean-Luc Marion a privileged interlocutor overthe years. The extensive debates that the two authors have held on the themes of mysticaltheology and the question of the gift are famous. However, no attention has yet been paid toa third problematic in which the thinkers seem to dialogue and enrich their positions basedon this exchange: the subject of animality. This article proposes that it is possible to trace alast and productive debate between them centered on this question that triggers an analysisof the scope of the notion of otherness.
