Resumen:
In recent decades, new lines of inquiry (discourse analysis, pragmatics, meta-linguistic awareness and, above all, the development of social cognition under the so called Theory of Mind paradigm) have enriched the theoretical and methodological models to address children´s communication skills.At the same time, the ?theory of mind? (ToM) model has provided important findings towards understanding the development of children´s natural psychology and understanding of others´minds. ToM model has provided not only a good theoretical framework for the study of the development of social cognition, but also a powerful empirical tool to study such a process.
