Resumen:
The MacArthur Communicative Development Inventories (CDI) have emerged as a useful instrument for the study of linguistic and communicative development in recent years. CDI offer a number of advantages for the assessment of young children´s early capacities: Parents provide reliable and representative information of their young children´s linguistic capacities.CDI scales are easy to apply.Their cost is very reduced.CDI can be applied to large samples.Risk of subjectivity, which usually affects parent reports, can be overcome by uing precise items. The CDIs are a reliable and valid instruments (Fenson et al., 1993; 1994) that have been adapted to over 25 languages around the world. In this poster we present data of the adaptation of these scales to Galician, a minority language spoken in Galicia, Spain.
