This document describes the development of the e-Queuing Service, part of the software infrastructure for Electronic Government, enabling government customers to electronically request a position in a queue for interacting in person with the Public Administration regarding the delivery of a public service. The system enables government agencies to define the services for which queuing tickets are required, the locations where interactions will take place, and working days for serving their customers; and allows citizens to electronically receive and cancel a queuing ticket. In addition, the system reminds citizens when their ticket number is called forward and allows them to track the queue status.The document first presents the scope of the Macao Data Exchange Gateway Project and an introduction to the e-Queuing Service. Next, it specifies in detail the software requirements, conceptual and use case models, followed by design, implementation and deployment diagrams. A glossary of terms and some implementation artifacts, such as XML Schemas, configuration files, Application Programming Interfaces and the main Java classes of the Queuing System are included in the appendices.
