The current report is one of the deliverables produced by the Government Information Sharing (GIS) Project carried out by the Centre for Electronic Governance, UNU-IIST, as part of the e-Macao Program. The project aims at specifying the information sharing needs of Macao Government agencies, and prescribing information sharing strategies, organization and technical infrastructure based on the outcome of research on state-of-the art in the area of information sharing.The current policy report discusses the use of the Messaging Gateway as one of the components of a technical infrastructure supporting information sharing, discusses some challenges for its deployment and presents some recommendations.
