The current report is one of the deliverables produced by the Capacity Building for Electronic Governance Project carried out by the UNU-IIST Centre for Electronic Governance as part of the e-Macao Program. The project aims at establishing specific capacity building needs of government agencies and public officers to be able to effectively implement their IT strategies, government-wide programs such as Electronic Government,and technology-related Public Administration Reform initiatives. It also aims to contribute to public awareness and understanding of e-governance issues and how these issues relate to socio-economic and political benefits for Macao and the public at large.The deliverables produced by the project are: 1) Capacity Building Requirements and Roadmap for Electronic Government (this report). 2) E-Macao Seminars - A series of seminar presentations by international scholars, leading experts and government officials, for public officers and the public at large. 3) Training - Courseware on strategic and organizational aspects of Electronic Governance, targeted at IT managers and CIO-level officers. 4) Workshop - Workshops to discuss progress in Electronic Governance implementation in Macao SAR. 5) Conference - A number of public officers from Macao supported to attend the ICEGOV conferences in Bogota, Colombia and Beijing, China. This report presents the outcomes of the survey carried out to establish the state of readiness and specific training needs of agencies and MSARG as a whole with respect to Enterprise Architecture, Information Sharing, Knowledge Management and IT Leadership and Coordination.The survey was carried out by SAFP and UNU-IIST Center for Electronic Governance in collaboration with government agencies of Macao SAR. The results of the survey were qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed.
