Participar como Experta en el Expert Group Meeting que se describe a continuacion. The Expert Group Meeting on Innovation and Technology for Advancing the Knowledge-Based Economy in the Arab Region was held by ESCWA in Amman on 3 and 4 June 20015 under the patronage of the Minister of Information and Communication Technology of Jordan. It was organized by the Innovation Section in collaboration with the ESCWA Technology Centre (ETC) of the Technology for Development Division (TDD) and in partnership with UNCTAD. The main objective of the EGM was to explore the role innovation and technology play in building KBEs in the Arab region. The sessions and discussions focused on identifying and compiling the needs and priorities of the Arab region as well as viable approaches for harnessing innovation and technology for the transformation to KBEs. The EGM provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge on best practices as well as case studies and regional and international experiences that can serve as a platform for better collaboration among different stakeholders.
