Resumen:
The design and development of bimodal sensors combining the high resolution of MRI imaging and the sensitivity of fluorescence microscopy for nanomedicine has known a tremendous interest this last decade. However, the combination of these properties requires a high control over the synthesis with a potential high yield. In this work, iron oxide silica core-shell nanoparticles were synthesized, in which small carboxylated commercial CdSe/ZnS quantum dots were grafted to confer fluorescence properties. In an attempt to control the interactions of the NPs with cancerous cells, a polymeric shell made of human serum albumine (HSA) was coated at the surface of the nanocomposites.
