Resumen:
The archaeological site La Marmotta is very important because of the excellent level of conservation of the organic material. Many wooden artifacts and wood remains were recovered. For example wooden artifacts used for navigation others linked to this activity and to harvesting too. This site is ideal for studying the technological processes of wooden artifacts. This work summarises the results of the techno-morphometric study and taxonomic analysis carried out on the wooden artefacts. The results suggest that woodworking implies a deep knowledge of the natural environment and the characteristics of the wood. The sets of wooden objects found in La Marmotta site reflect the meaning of this raw material for Neolithic societies. Undoubtedly, it is the reflection of a high technological society.
