Resumen:
ABSTRACTImproperly treated hexavalent chromium-containing industrialwastes contaminate drinking water, potentially affectingchildren taking breast milk or baby bottles prepared with infantformula. Thus, the aim of the present work was to determine theeffect of this toxic on bone activity in the developing alveolusduring tooth eruption of suckling Wistar rats intoxicated withpotassium dichromate. Experimental animals received a dailydose of 12.5mg/kg body weight of potassium dichromate bygavage for 10 days; controls received an equivalent volume ofsaline solution.
