Resumen:
Summary The somatic chromosomes of two tree species have been studied, both of them have 2n=26. The karyotypes of Anadenanthera colubrina (Vell.) Brenan var. cebil (Griseb.) Altschul (18m + 8sm) and Parapiptadenia rigida (Benth.) Brenan (12m + 14sm) are described for the first time. These species may be distinguished bykaryotype formula, andtotal chromosome length.
