Characterizing operating parameters of a steam engine, in order to determinate its capacity of power and couple generating to be coupled to steam line source generated by the Fresnel Linear System mounted in San Carlos, Salta is showed. The tests were conducted in the Faculty of Engineering (FI) of the National University of Salta (UNSa), where we used a boiler ? steam generator plant. The engine was tested from startup to nominal regime, trough different steps of rotational speeds and measures of minimum and maximum pressure, inlet steam temperature and environment, regime of speeds and steam flow were took. Power and couple curves presented are consistent with the relevant literature to thermal machines.
