Resumen:
We study the problem of identifying members of a single groupbased on the opinions of the individuals in the society. The workby Kasher and Rubinstein (K-R)(1997) deals with the problem in asocial choice framework. They provide axiomatic characterizations ofdierent kinds of aggregator functions. We analyze the problem bothin a nite and an innite setting. In the former case, we focus onliberal aggregator functions, slightly modifying the axioms presentedby K-R. In this way we nd new uniqueness, possibility as well asimpossibility results. In the infinite case, we show that the result of the Strong Liberal CIF(introduced by K-R) still holds but not the oligarchic aggregator.
