Resumen:
Nowadays, calcium titanate (CaTiO3) and carbon-containing materials have gained much attention as a biomedical material. In order to maximize the advantages of both materials, we have developed a novel biomaterial called CaTiO3-aC (patent: 2005-269868; 2005-269869) prepared by modified thermal decomposition method. We believe that a preliminary analysis of any material before using them in basic research is mandatory. Thus, in this study was evaluated the particle crystallinity, surface, and chemical composition. The current results indicated that this material is composed of calcium, titanium, oxide and carbon corresponding to perovskite-type structure
