Resumen:
This article reconstructs Miguel Bonasso’s narrative and it posits that it was crucial to the construction of a militant memory of the 1970s. Bonasso’s narrative linked that memory to the reconstruction of a Peronist Left’s political culture in the post dictatorship era. To a large extent, Bonasso was successful in his attempt. His books reached a wide audience, were discussed in public forums, and eventually instilled topics and debates in the 1980s and 1990s Argentine public culture. Bonasso’s narrative provided its readers with powerful stories, values, images, and symbols that reminded them about past experiences in which the political was lived more intensively. In doing so, Bonasso helped to preserve a cultural space for the Peronist Left, which was detached from the actual political space in those decades.
