Resumen:
Essential oils of Schinus molle, a native plant of South America, has showed potential as botanical insecticide against stink bugs. In this work were evaluated their toxicological and behavioral effects on the parasitoid Trissolcus basalis, a biological control agent of stink bugs. Essential oil were obteined via hydrodestillation from fresh leaves. Insecticide activity in T. basalis was evaluted in direct contacta n volátil fraction exposition bioassays. Behavioral effects of volatile fraction were evaluated in olfactometer bioassays. To evalute the residual toxicity, femelaes of the parasitoids were exposed to papaer oils residues of  1, 3 and 7 days. S molle essential oil show a high contact and volatile toxicity. In adition this fraction not show repellent effects. The contact toxicity have a residual effects for at least 3 days, after this period, the acuete toxicity and sub-lethal effects as disminution of parssitism potential, became not significant.
