Resumen:
In the steam generation process the thermodynamic analysis of the fluid is a key topic in the design and construction of a Linear Fresnel Concentrator (LFC). In this work, the results about thermal power and thermal efficiencies for summer and winter solstices were presented, where optical losses for the end-effect are different. So a hydrothermal model was used and the optical effects for this LFC (absorber length 20% greater than reflector field) were considered. For the different simulated scenarios, it was obtained that thermal power increases up to 40% in winter because of the extension in absorber length. For summer, the thermal efficiency is lower due thermal losses in the unlighted section and the mass flow must be greater than winter. Thus, some variants have been proposed to improve the performance of LFC in this case.
