Resumen:
The result of thinning operations depends on the correct use of the trees. The bucking of each partof the stem as saw log and pulpwood allows to increase the value obtained from the stand. Buckingsimulators emulate the bucking process carried out by the harvester. Through of this is possible topredict the volume of each product that can be obtained from a given bucking instruction. Thisarticle evaluates the impact of different bucking instructions applied on second thinning?s. Theimproper usage of pulpwood logs strongly reduces the timber value. The production of shortnesssaw logs increases the harvested volume of each product.
