Resumen:
The province of Misiones has 419.000 hectares of forested land, 83% of this area is occupied byPinus spp. In forest plantations, it is possible to obtain higher productivities when growthconditions are adequate. Weed competition negatively affects survival and growth, especially inthe first year of plantations. The objective was to evaluate the effectiveness and selectivity of preemergent herbicides, in post-plantation applications of Pinus elliottii var. elliottii × Pinus caribaeavar. hondurensis. The results show that Esplanade was more effective than Arsenal Forestal andFordor, with a better selectivity than Arsenal Forestal.
