This work is centered in the evaluation of printed materials, text books and notebooks elaborated by the teachers, for universitary teaching of the chemistry. Although these materials represent an obstacle for the learning of the students their evaluation it is not a frequent task. Therefore, we intend an evaluation instrument from a position constructivistic that consists on an observation guide, for the synthactic aspects of the material. Particularly, we attend to different language types (verbal, graph and chemical) and the organization of the material (elements and structure of the text) that can become extensive to the basic sciences in general.
