Summary: The species Fragaria vesca L., Duchesnea indica (Andr.) Focke, and Potentilla tucumanensis Castagnaro & Arias are distributed in humid and dry mountainous regions of Tucumán, Argentina. The aim of this paper was to make a comparative characterization of the leaf anatomy of D. indica, F. vesca and P. tucumanensis and to evaluate the influence of altitude on foliar anatomy. In this study, we provide diagnostic characteristics and present an anatomic key for the identification of these species.
