Resumen:
Potentilla tucumanensisA. Castagnaro & M. Arias,sp. nov., from Tucumin, Argentina, is described andillustrated. Potentilla tucumanensis was originally determined as P. norvegica. The lat- ter and PR anserina were the only two species of this large genusprimarily of the Northern Hemi- sphere cited from Argentina. Potentilla tucumanen-sis is distinguished from P norvegica by morpho- logical-reproductive (flowersand achenes), anatomical (stomata), and genetic (chromosome number) characters.
