Resumen:
This article aims to relate the tradition of studies on socio-occupationalclasses with the perspective of structural informality. Taking Argentina as acase study, it examines how occupational class inequality and job qualitycondition the level of welfare of the employed population. The study follows aquantitative methodology based on Argentina´s Permanent Household Survey.Regression models show a persistent effect over time of social class and jobquality on the probability of experiencing poverty and interaction betweenboth variables, suggesting that job insecurity is a transversal phenomenonacross occupational classes.
