Resumen:
In the southern Central Andes, between 27-28º S, the Puna Plateau, Cordillera Frontal, Precordillera, and Sierras Pampeanas are the morpho-structural provinces that conform the Andean orogen in Argentina, where striking new neotectonic features haves been identified. This work focuses on the study of the Quaternary deformations observed throughout these provinces and seeks to contribute to the understanding of the spatio-temporal tectonic evolution of the Ancho valley (Southwest Puna Plateau), the Chaschuil valley (Precordillera), the Fiambalá basin, and the Arenal basin (northwestern Sierras Pampeanas) (Fig. 1A). To achieve this goal, we carried out a fieldwork-based detailed structural mapping of the selected areas, and nine drone-based photogrammetry surveys in seven different sites with suspicious neotectonic structures, summing-up ~35 km2, to generate high-resolution (
