Resumen:
Regarding multidimensional electrophoretic separations the implementation of intermediate detection methods offers the possibility to both construct the first axis of a 2D analysis for a comprehensive sampling method and to greatly facilitate sample transfer especially in heart-cut procedures. Leakage phenomena occurring at the interface have to be controlled to keep the overall separation efficiency as well as theprecision of the second dimension separation and final detection method. We present first proof of principle applications of 3D spatial and wavelength resolved on-chip intermediate fluorescence (LED-LIF), conductivity (C4D) and potential detection for a hybrid 2D capillary-microchip setup. Potential applications are ITP/ITP, ITP/CE, CE/CE and IEF/CE assays in combination with MS as final identification method.
