Electrical conductivity of trabecular bone: a preliminar simulation study

Recents experimental studies show that the electrical conductivity of bone is linearly correlated with the bone volume fraction. This is an interesting result because it can be used together with EIT technology to predict bone health non-invasively. In this work the mentioned linear relationship is numerically evaluated on cancellous bone samples using finite element methods.
