Resumen:
Abstract:     New clothes for an old player: Oxygen-induced deactivation of a fluorescent state can, in fact, proceed via S1  S0 internal conversion and effectively compete with S1  T1 intersystem crossing (see figure). It has long been considered that only the latter process occurs. An O2 dependent process that does not produce a triplet excited state can have significant photochemical and photobiological consequences.
