Resumen:
Myliobatis goodei is a skate widely distributed on the Atlantic coast, from south USA to south Argentina. The objective of this study was to describe the trophic ecology of M. goodei in Anegada Bay, along with the possible dietary shifts, due to season, sex and the different geographical features of the bay. Our results show that M. goodei is an epibenthic predator, feeding mainly on bivalves, and on a variety of benthic invertebrates. The diet presented seasonal variations, while no differences in diet composition were observed between sexes or the different sampling sites. This study constitutes the first dietary analysis of this species in the publish literature.
