This article explores the Rights of Nature recognition process over the last ten years in Ecuador. The first section discusses the constitutional recognition in 2008. The second section follows ideas emerging from a series of interviews for the film "The Rights of Nature: A Global Movement" (2018) and relies on the voices of different social actors engaged with the application, implementation, or monitoring of this recognition a decade after its constitutional inclusion.
