Resumen:
The decidualization program involves phenotype and functionalchanges on endometrial cells that will facilitate the attachmentand invasion of the blastocyst. This process involves themodulation of different mediators such as cytokines, chemokinesand growth factors. Particularly, the vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP) is a neuropeptide produced by endometrial stromalcells among others, and displays multiple target circuits thatallow immunotolerance. Here, we investigated VIP contributionto the decidualization program and whether this process modulatesdendritic cells (DC) profile. We differenciated humanendometrial stromal cell line (hESC) in the presence of VIP(10-7M), or with medroxiprogesterone (MPA) and dbcAMP (Positivecontrol) during 8 d. The decidualization performed withMPA+dbcAMP increased VIP expression (by RT-PCR) andsecretion (by ELISA). When the decidualization was induced byVIP, we observed an increase IGFBP1, PRL and KLF13/KLF9ratio in a concentration-dependent manner; accompanied byand increase in the expression of IL-8 and SDF1, both markersof receptive endometrium (p
