Resumen:
In recent years, and after the ?pink tide? in Latin America at the beginning of the 21st century, there has been a ?right wing turn? in important countries of the continent. This "right wing turn" has found support especially in two countries: Brazil and the United States. In these cases, Pentecostal and neo-Pentecostal pastors, allied to governments and with positions in the State, have become important actors in the support of these processes that we can characterize as "far right". This paper presents a part of the development achieved in a broader research on the participation of evangelical pastors in politics, reflected in the book Evangelical Power. How religious groups are taking over politics in America (2020). The point is to analyze the relationship between pastors and far-right politicians in a comparative key.Panelista en la Mesa "O estado é laico mas o governo é cristão?: religious groups in politics - between tolerance and intolerance.
