Institutional Diffusion. The ILO Domestic Workers Convention in Latin America

In 2011, the International Labor Organization approved a convention on domestic work. Since then, eight Latin American countries have ratified this convention, three others already initiated the process, and all of them have modified domestic work regulations. This convention seems to play an important role in recent legislation. Thus, the presentation will focus on the diffusion process at work in this case, and particularly in how this process can explain both convergence and divergence in national regulations.
