Resumen:
ESs are benefits and services of nature that contributes to human well-being.So there is 5 year long international project, called OpenNESS. It?s financed by the EU FP7. Its full name is ?Operationalization of??. The overall aim of this project is to develop innovative and practical ways of applying ES and NC concepts in land, water and urban management. So how, where and when these concepts can most effectively be applied to solve problems. It is a practice and policy oriented research, as it assess how EU and national regulations and other institutional factors enable or constrain consideration of ESS and NC. There are 27 case studies in the project: 23 in European countries and 4 in non-European ones (India, Kenya, Brasil and Argentina). In each case study there is a research team and a case study advisory board including stakeholders, who support and influence the research process to help make it relevant to practice.8 case studies initiated this analysis. Each of the case studies there is an ES related conflict. Here are the countries who brought one or two case studies into the analysis. As you can see we have case studies from really different countries with different historical, cultural, ecological background. This diversity provide a good basic to a comparative analysis.Hungary brought 2 case studies: in the firsr there is a conflict about the water management of the area. In the second there is a conflict about invasive alient species that provide services for some stakeholder groups and disservices for others.Spain also brought 2 cases: in the first there is a conflicting situation about the ways of development of Donana (economic development vs. Nature protection), in the second there is a mismatch between fresh water extraction and water regulation. In the romanian case study there is a conflict between fishermen and nature protection.Scotland: there is a conflict between the forestry and the tourism. In Belgium the conflict caused by increased tourism and recreation in an agricultural area.Norway: sport infrastructure development
