We present an actuator fault tolerant control scheme based on a bank of virtual actuators in the context of sampled-data systems, capable of preserving closed-loop properties even under single sample loss. The controller and the bank of virtual actuators operate coordinated by the controller in discrete-time. At every sampling time instant, the controller determines the next instant at which it will execute a control action. We assume that the controller becomes aware of the sample loss and takes appropriate measures accordingly. To this effect, we propose a control algorithm capable of preserving the control and reconfiguration objectives under both actuator faults and sample loss, and provide design aspects in order to preserve such objectives.
