A Set-Valued Adaptive Observer for Uncertain Nonlinear Systems

In this work an adaptive observer is presented for a class of smooth nonlinear systems with uncertainties. The dynamic uncertainties are caused by unmeasured bounded exogenous perturbations. The system parameters are initially unknown, so they are actualize recursively in a least square sense. Parallel, the resulting observed states are propagated efficiently in form of polytopes in the state space. The proposed set-valued observer is not guaranteed and its convergence is not only subjected to persistency and richness conditions of the regressor but also to the compactness of the sequence of state sets.
