Resumen:
Based on internal morphological and genital characters, the tribe Nycteliini is considered a monophyletic group. The revision includes the redescriptions of the tribe and its nine genera: Nyctelia Latreille, Epipedonota Solier, Psectrascelis Solier, Scelidospecta Kulzer, Auladera Solier, Mitragenius Solier, Entomoderes Solier, Pilobalia Burmeister, and Gyriosomus Guérin. A historical review of the Nycteliini, a key for the recognition of the genera, and a checklist of species for each genera are given. The study shows the great taxonomic value of the internal skeletal anatomy.
