Resumen:
In many cases we use different experimental models to study brain development and degeneration.  Very often, it is necessary to study an isolate mechanism to be able to understand a more complex system. Axonal guidance is an important tool in basic research in neurosciences. It has a great potential in nervous tissue repair; it helps in the electrophysiological characterization of  isolated neurons and neural networks; besides is very useful in pharmacological studies. This technique offers comparative low cost and low technical complexity. In order to characterize a dopaminergic neural network, we sequential treated SH-SY5Y cells to obtain neurons able to keep and release dopamine (DA) with their axons in the place we need. After the evaluation of different commercial  devices we developed  a method  that  let  as to obtain  neurons able to realize  dopamine with its neuritis orientates accordingly an electrical field applied.
