Resumen:
In this paper we analyze the behavior ofthe Electrode Electrolyte Interface (EEI) in bipolar andtetrapolar concentric axial electrodes built with stainlesssteel AISI 304. The electrical properties were measuredusing a Frequency Response Analyzer (FRA) Solartron1260 within a frequency range of 0,1 Hz to 8 MHz indifferent concentrations of saline solution. A circuitmodel based in Constant Element Phase (CPE) was employedto simulate the bulk electrolyte and electrodeinterface. The Bode plot shows that the polarizationresistance of the interface decrease in the tetrapolarconcentric axial electrodes below 1 kHz. Our studyshows the advantage of use in the future of the tetrapolarconcentric axial electrodes as good impedance measurementsystem due to the reduction of EEI in low frequency.
