Resumen:
The improvement of magnetic properties in Fe-3%Si steel is related to the optimal growth and alignment of the Goss texture component during secondary recrystallization (Abnormal Grain Growth). The development of this component is strongly controlled by the microstructure and texture present in the previous processing stage, when primary recrystallization occurs. The subject of this work is the study of how texture and microstructure govern the development of the Goss texture component. The emphasis is on the parameters that are measured by the EBSD technique. We have studied, in particular the grain size, type of grain boundaries, microdeformations (KAM) and the evolution of texture components in Fe-3%Si samples annealed at 650 oc for 5, 1O, 20, 40, 80 and 160 minutes. The initial sample was a Fe-3%Si cold rolled at 60% of the CGO process. Special attention was paid to the location of Goss nuclei in the microstructure and to those conditions more favorable to their development. It has been found that the a and y fiber components are the main texture components during the treatment, the grain size grows with recovery time, the Kernel Average Misorientation (KAM) decreases as the material evolves the as-deformad condition to the first 20 minutes and stabilized after 20 minutes. The High Angle Grain Boundary (HAGB) and Low Angle Grain Boundary (LAGB) have the same proportion in the first stage for the last one HAGB is greater than LAGB.
